BML were commissioned by STARK Group to lead and manage the sale and separation of STARK UK when acquired from Saint-Gobain Building Distribution.

BML led the complex separation, migrating 13 brands, 608 branches, 10 offices and 8500 employees. Completing two weeks early on 12-month TSA, and £3.3m under budget, required our team leading programmes incl. change management, HR re-platforming, device and data centre migration. Supporting the rebrand of UK’s well-known brand, Jewson, we placed the interim Communication Director for Stark UK. We built an enduring business change capability to underpin the acquisition and subsequent transformation, by embedding an effective change management approach to provide communications, training and resistance management during and beyond the separation.
