Richer customer data was needed to enhance the customers experience, enable sustainability reporting, drive cross selling and provide differentiation in the bid process. BML started by significantly reducing the SKUs.

We reduced the SKUs from 750,000 to 250,000, enabling far richer product data, specifically sustainability data, which was a critical customer requirement for reporting purposes. This led to the creation of a supplier platform to manage and update SKU information resulting in a reduction of team admin work by 25%. The integration into eCommerce channels saw increase in sales by 20% as it enabled cross selling functionality driven from the PIM.
