From blind acquisition to clarity

A healthcare operator with £2bn sales acquired four entities across three countries with no technology due diligence; this blocked integration, increasing the operational impact of disparate technology, spiralling license costs and an inability to report as a group.

Timescales were tight so BML created leveraged retrospective DD reports and defined the business risk of gaps in the technology, clearly exposing operational limitations and additional investment needs. The exercise also highlighted operational blockers at a local level, putting a major ERP investment at risk. We created a remediation plan for the technology estate and took on the ERP delivery exercise.
